Mabey, (2013) identified four important discourses to leadership learning and development ie dialogic discourse, critical discourse, interpretive discourse, and functionalist discourse respectively. However, he laid maximum focus on the last one that is associated with leadership competencies for better performance. It improves performance both at the individual as well as organizational levels and effectively helps to build intellectual capital and national competitiveness. Probably, these are the reasons why maximum focus is laid upon this discourse for LLD.
